An aspiring artist creating musical compositions of heart, mind and soul. Influenced and inspired by the musical genius of Avicii, Enigma and Dr Dre, what started as a purely therapeutic diversion has become a search for a unique sound and expression of sentience through the medium of music in the hope to inspire our capacity to feel, provoke rational thought and question how we choose to exist.
The beginning of a composition usually starts with either chord(s)/notes play, an idea, a feeling in mind, something I wish to express or a beat/loop/sample/vocal I've liked. Inspiration can occur spontaneously or be fueled by raw emotion or thought and there are times when I'm literally lost in the music and find the night has vanished and the sun has risen. A suprising aspect of music creation which I'm sure fellow artists will be able to relate to, is loop psychosis, when you've listened to the same section of music over and over again and loose all sense of reality.
Favourite artists and bands include Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Deep Forest, Disturbed, Goo Goo Dolls, Hayden Hack, John Lennon, Linkin Park, Live, Mariah Carey, Metallica, Moby, Nirvana, Pink, Prodigy, Scribe, Snoop Lion, The Fugees, The Genes, Tupac Shakur, U2 and many, many more.
I use FL Studio by Image Line for creating, mixing and mastering my albums and tracks. FL Studio is easily my favourite DAW which I love, endorse and highly recommend. Like all tools, DAW's have their positives and negatives so I would suggest if you are looking for a DAW, do your research, download demo's and find one that suits your brain waves and needs. I downloaded about a dozen or so and created the same basic track in each and found FL Studio stood out for me for it's intuitiveness, work flow and abundance of tutorials.
